Gili Mampang Consevation Site
Nestled between the large rocks just a half-hour away from the Port of Padangbai, is a vast field of Acropora. If you don’t know, Acropora is a type of branching coral. This is where we got our baby corals from. Sometimes, corals naturally come loose from the sediment because of strong tides. They will eventually detach from the sediment and die. We scoured the field, looking for these corals and used them for our coral planting instead!
